There is live music every night during the summer at the Fairview, (you haven’t lived until you’ve danced till 3:00am and it’s still not dark outside kids are playing in the park across the street and small planes overhead are flying climbers to Mt. McKinley : other local watering holes have live music and a variety of dining options.
-Theater: The local theater group, Denali Arts Council, puts on plays and poetry recitals on
occasion in the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. This airplane hangar
was once owned by famous bush pilot Don Sheldon, and has been converted
into a small, charming theater space.
-The Talkeetna Historical Society has a museum in downtown Talkeetna with lots of historic Mt. McKinley information.
-Jazz – Enjoy an outstanding jazz duo at the Fairview once a week early
