Leave the frantic world behind while relaxing in this luxurious suite. Find all the comforts to make you feel at home here in the forest. Sleep-in, just hang-out and read,
or play in the sitting room. Enjoy a cup of tea in the morning sun on the balcony. Or immerse yourself in a relaxing hot bath in the clawfoot tub.
This is the kind if space you can spread out in and enjoy. Unpack, relax, then begin to enjoy the local attractions. Imagine yourself returning to this bright comfortable space after rafting the Class IV rapids of the Talkeetna River, having just flown around the 20,320’ summit of Denali,

Spacious main floor corner room with queen bed and full bath |
$175 |
Named for Rose Kirsch, the original “lady of the house” this lovely room is rich in natural wood tones and features a full tile bathroom with claw foot tub. Windows to the north and east provide forest views and great morning sunshine.
Conveniently located on the main floor, but away from the dining area, find the peace and relaxing ambience that Rose Kirsch enjoyed here in the 40’s.
Traditionally this was the master bedroom of the original owners, Rose and John Kirsch. They saved the best for themselves, renting the upstairs as two rooms to clients. We’ve added the en-suite bathroom and renewed the hardwood floor and Douglas fir wall covering to make it even better than Rose ever imagined. |

Sunny main floor rooms with queen bed, full bath just out the door |
$150 |
The Lupine Room:
Conveniently located on the main floor, with the bathroom next door and a queen bed, this comfortable room is perfect for those who don’t move about as quickly as they once did. Soothing natural wood accents and a window on the forest make the Lupine room relaxing and comfortable. |
The Iris Room:
East facing, the Iris Room enjoys the best morning sun in the Inn. It’s set back from the dining area on the main floor for privacy, this is a very comfortable room at a more affordable price. There’s a queen size bed and natural wood appointments that make the room unique. A full tile bathroom with clawfoot tub & shower is two doors down the hall. |

For those wanting real solitude, a detached log cabin from the ‘30’s beautifully restored. Queen size bed, but a few steps to the inn for facilities |
$125 |
Named for its original owner, Sydney Thayer, this cabin will take you right back to the old days of the Alaskan frontier. Imagine this solitude only a few steps
away from every comfort and convenience.
Sydney’s cabin was built during the mid-30’s and was completely renovated in 1997.
The “jewel box” craftsmanship of this restoration will amaze you as you relax in total comfort with hand finished woods and hardwood floors inside, and forest all around you just outside the window.
There’s a queen bed and a cozy window seat in the entry/sun porch - plenty of room to spend quality time without interruption.
There is no running water or Ethernet/internet access in Sydney’s Cabin; he’d roll over in his grave. |
