"More than just a dot on a map some 215 miles north of where the Alaska Railroad begins, this is where luxury and wilderness converge - a breathtaking setting that seems like it was plucked directly from a savvy traveler's dream."
"We thought your bed and breakfast was the best one we stayed at in Alaska. We tried five others during our two-week stay, and we still think yours was the best--by far. We learned quickly that some of the "B & Bs" in Alaska aren't really deserving of calling themselves that (continental-style breakfasts, tiny bedrooms in uninteresting homes, hosts with no knowledge of the area or time for their guests, etc.). We really appreciated your kindness and your willingness to spend time with us and talk. Your breakfast was the best, too. :) The next time we're in Alaska, we'll arrange to spend more time at your B&B. Thanks for being such good hosts."

"This was my first visit to Alaska, to climb Denali with Alpine Ascents (we made the summit!), staying with you was a highlight of this trip. Our plans were carved in Jello by the weather and your flexibility is as appreciated as your wonderful food and lodging."
David - Indianna
"With treatment like this, how do you expectus to leave?"

"Brought back old memories from my childhood days when I lived at Sunshine - the son of the Section Forman. Great job of restoring the old Kirsch Lodge"
Merle Frank - Wasilla, AK
" We've been a lot a places - but very few hold a candle to the one day we spend with you guys. Finally we had nothing to do and nowhere to go - the best time in a long time - but way too short. You guys are terrific hosts."
Arlo - Massachusetts
"Thanks for the warm shelter and great food. An absolutely wonderful feeling from the moment I stepped on the property"
Tim - Joshua Tree, CA
" Tom & Hobbs, your hospitality has been warm, kind and sensitive. For me your home, surrounding countryside, son Airon, cooking (oh the cooking), conversations and caring have been a tonic I so badly needed."
Jill - New Zealand
"You have been exceptional hosts and really made our Alaskan experience amazing. Tom's food was superb, Hobbs' breakfasts and local recommendations were fantastic. We've had a wonderful week here and think we've probably been spoilt for the rest of our trip!"
Jim & Sue - England
"Anything is possible here at Fireweed Station.
The impossible just takes a little longer"
